The book takes you through step-by-step sequences to build up your confidence and your skills. Several useful sub-topics are covered such as using a limited palette, painting a landscape, painting skies, painting trees, working from photographs, adding foreground detail and painting flowers. If you are very nervous about attempting your first oil painting this is essential reading, as it covers everything. What I love about this book is each painting has notes to say exactly how it was accomplished. This book is sure to be a winner with any artist! minigallery.co.uk
