A pioneering study of the impact of a peacekeeping operation undertaken by an international organization or third party on the territory of Ukraine and the potential interface with the Ukrainian domestic legal system. The authors consider contemporary international legal peacekeeping mechanisms, experience with recent United Nations peacekeeping operations, international legal aspects of determining the character of aggression with particular reference to the Donbas, and the distinctive features of the legal status and activity of such a peacekeeping mission were it to be introduced in the Donbas region of Ukraine.
