Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Kader Attia (b.1970) studied both Philosophy and Fine Art in Paris and Barcelona. his childhood spent between Algeria and France, and his extended stays in Africa and Latin America informed a broader vision, leading him to investigate the subject of the constant signs of re-appropriation that bind Western and non-Western cultures, the foundation of his concept of 'repair'. He was the winner of the Abraaj Capital Art Prize in 2010 and was awarded the Cairo Biennale Prize in 2008. In 2014 Kader Attia received the Kunstpreis Berlin Jubilaumsstiftung 1848/1948 for visual arts by the Akademie der Kunste. Kader Attia lives and works in Berlin and Algiers.
