This reference provides a comprehensive guide to all company law provisions (excluding insolvency) up to 1 January 1993. It is designed for accountants, company secretaries, solocitors and all those whose responsibilities involve company accounts, secretarial duties and other aspects of company law. This 1993 edition features new provisions relating to single member companies, overseas companies and accounts of small/medium-sized companies and banking companies. The chapter on financial statements has been revised to reflect new provisions and there is extended coverage of the requirements in the Admission of Securities to listing (Yellow Book). A summary of the provisions of Financial Reporting Standard 3 is included in the Accounts chapters. In addition to company legislation and the Yellow Book there is coverage of the City Code on Takeovers, sample forms of auditors' reports and a short chapter summarizing the EC legislation. Chapters are arranged alphabetically by subject and the text is fully cross-referenced throughout.
