This series of three books reviews and documents the recent advances in research and application of this relatively new and emerging technology, the problems remaining to be solved and the directions of future research and development in surface engineering. Together, these 3 volumes represent the latest information on the state of the art of surface engineering today, from an international authorship, and will prove essential reading for all those in academia and industry who need to keep abreast of the current status and likely future developments in this increasingly important field.
