Eva Czernis-Ryl is a curator of decorative arts and design at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney. She was the content editor and contributing author of Australian Gold and Silver 1851-1900 (Powerhouse Publishing 1995) and a contributing author to A Material World - Fibre, Colour and Pattern (Powerhouse Publishing 1990).
