This is a story about Edgar Saxon who was born in 1878 and died in 1956. For some forty years he tried to induce readers of Health & Life to use theirs. This made the magazine unique amongst all health and medical journals of his time. In each issue he wrote an elegant leading article in which he pointed out that to be sensible was not only the best way to promote good health bu to enter the fields of philosophy religion and poetry.
