Charlotte y Peter Fiell son dos autoridades en historia, teoría y crítica del diseño y han escrito más de sesenta libros sobre la materia, muchos de los cuales se han convertido en éxitos de ventas. About the book >.>.> The site at Agadir is naturally dramatic: a sweep of dunes rises against the Atlantic and protects the undeveloped beachfront. Behind the dunes, a linear stand of black eucalyptus trees continues for miles, founded in the aquifer of the Oed Souss. Although the dune line serves as a natural protection for the coastline, holding the sea at bay, the high wave action of that section of the Atlantic has breached this line of defense. The resulting brackish water threatens the aquifer and the trees. Ecological repair was the first impulse in engaging the building site. By lodging the building in the dune line, it acts as a dune itself, closing the breach while the calligraphic, arcing breakwater defends against the northwest wave action of the Atlantic ocean. (MP).
