Pierce ("the oldest Tarzan," dated 1975), Johnny Weissmuller, Buster Crabbe, John Mahoney, Denny Miller, Gordon Scott, Casper Van Dien, and Ron Ely. Then a bevy of "Janes," including Karla Schramm, Louise Lorraine, Bo Derek, Eve Brent, Lydie Denier. And finally, by the grandson of Edgar Rice Burroughs (Danton Burroughs, dated June 24, 1989), Tarzan illustrator Thomas Yeates, and the author of this formidable tome, Irwin Porges (at the ERB Convention, dated June 1989). Also laid in is a glossy black-and-white illustrated leaf, inscribed to "Joe" by Burne Hogarth and dated June 1989. All of the other inscriptions also made to "Joe" (or "Joseph"). Very Good in a Very Good or better dust jacket. Binding slightly shaken, but still square, some brief spotting at the top page edges, light wear at the corners of the boards.
