It provides practical, how-to guidelines for setting up online learning courses. It describes how best to provide the feeling of ""community"" in online interactions, how to maximize the presentation of content and promote learning, and how to evaluate student work received from online assignments and testing. This new edition will include extensive revision of the older book and a host of new material. Carol O'Neil, PhD, RN, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Dr. O'Neil is a Web Initiative in Teaching (WIT) Fellow.
