Following the twists and turns of children now, contributors confront how race, gender, and sexuality are made to live and grow in children's bodies.

Rebekah Sheldon is Assistant Professor of English at Indiana University.

Kathryn Bond Stockton is Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Utah and the author of The Queer Child, or Growing Sideways in the Twentieth Century, also published by Duke University Press.
