Ten written lectures are intended to serve as a companion to the National Science Foundation-Conference Board of the Mathematical Sciences Regional Research Conference in the Mathematical Sciences. The goal is to present a generally self-contained course on families of Riemann surfaces and Weil-Petersson geometry for graduate students and postgraduates, one that runs across current research areas.
