This work presents lectures from a graduate course at Princeton in 1982-83, collecting some of the counterexamples in the several-complex-variable theory which were scattered throughout the literature. The first part of the book introduces some of the basic concepts of the theory, in particular those needed later for the examples. The counterexamples cover topics such as the Levi problem, plurisubharmonic functions, CR geometry, and function theory. The book can serve as a supplement to a graduate course on several complex variables. There is no subject index. Annotation ©2008 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
