Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

The Author: Marilya Veteto-Conrad, who received her Ph.D. from The University of Texas, Austin in 1990, is an assistant professor of German at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. Her areas of specialization are twentieth-century German literature and foreign language pedagogy. She has published on the topic of utilizing minority literature in the classroom in Die Unterrichtspraxis in the fall of 1992. Research for this book was conducted in Berlin while Dr. Veteto-Conrad was a DAAD scholarship recipient in 1987-88. Since then she has continued research via grants from NAU, and has lectured extensively at national conferences on the status of minority writers in Germany.
