John Patrick's Roulette (Pro's Guide to Managing Your Money) - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Professional gambler John Patrick's books are among the most popular gaming books in the country. He takes players out of the red and keeps them in the black. His basic theory - that a player should be satisfied with a generous ten percent return on investment - can't be faulted. After all, if banks pay a much, much smaller return for holding money for a year, what's wrong with ten percent for a half hour's pleasure? Patrick knows roulette. It is the number-one gambling attraction in Europe and Asia and is becoming increasingly popular in American casinos. As he urges in his other books, Patrick cautions players to manage money shrewdly. They should be disciplined to press ahead when the wheel is spinning in their favor and pull back on a losing streak. He also asks that players become familiar with house rules. Blunders caused by ignorance still add up to losses. If possible, he tells players to patronize tables with a single rather than a double zero. And, above all, never bet on single numbers: That is suicidal.
