Michael Gervers is professor of history at the University of Toronto, Scarborough. and the author of The Cartulary of the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem in England.
James M. Powell is professor emeritus, Department of History, Syrancuse University. He has written several books including Anatomy of a Crusade, Muslims under Latin Rule, and Medieval Studies: An Introduction, Second Edition, also published by Syracuse University Press.
