Dr. Thoen is former Chairman of the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Preventative Medicine at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Chairman of the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Scientific Committee on Tuberculosis in Animals, and former Chairman of the World Health Organization Committee on Animal Tuberculosis.
