Inhaltsangabe

"The Dreaded Feast: Writers on Enduring the Holidays" will act as a balm for the millions of people who face Christmas-time with a mixture of dread and obligation. The anthology, which includes fiction, nonfiction, and poetry will deflate the notion of the 'perfect' holiday season, and allow the reader to commiserate and bask in the glow of a little dark, neurotic, and unflinchingly honest humour and unique perspective. The star roster of contributors includes Calvin Trillin, Fiona Maazel, Lewis Lapham, Scott Horton, Billy Collins, George Plimpton, Jay McInerney, James Thurber, PJ O'Rourke, Charles Simic, Jonathan Ames, and Dave Barry.
