In this fascinating text, the authors explore how water functions--specifically, how it works in a given landscape to solve problems and to enhance difficult environmental challenges. Beginning chapters are devoted to the natural waterfall, pool, and streambed, which showcase water's working role in the wild and its realistic adaptations in gardens.
