Inhaltsangabe

As an in-depth investigation by the Consortium for Policy Research in Education, this book is designed to help educators evaluate various reform strategies in a high school environment. Editors Supovitz and Weinbaum (U. of Pennsylvania) have compiled case studies outlining some of the more successful national reform programs in the United States, such as High Schools That Work, First Things First, Ramp-up to Literacy and SchoolNet. This book rates the effectiveness of each program, and even features some failures, discussing the factors that led to the abandonment of each program.
