Discover the origins and history of the Holy Scriptures
The Bible is the bestselling, most read, most beloved, most criticized, most neglected, and most antagonizing book in history. It's also the most misunderstood--sometimes even by those who claim to follow its teachings. So what exactly is it? Who wrote it and how did those writings come together into what we now know as the Bible? And how do we know we can trust what it says?
For the curious reader, whether a lifelong Christian, a new believer, or an unconvinced skeptic, Unlocking the Bible provides the answers to these questions and more. In easy-to-understand language, it covers the Bible's origin, its transmission throughout history, its trustworthiness, and its significance.
"For far too many people the Bible remains a mystery, an impenetrable treasure hidden in a secret chest that us regular folk cannot access. Jeff Lasseigne loves you and the Scriptures enough to solve that problem by Unlocking the Bible. You are about to become wealthy beyond words in eternal riches for your soul."--James MacDonald, pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel
"My friend Jeff has come up with another book that will help many of God's people enjoy Bible study and make progress in understanding and obeying the Scriptures. In these pages the new believer especially will find helpful information, and the more mature believer will find personal encouragement in Bible study."--Warren W. Wiersbe, author and former pastor of Moody Church, Chicago
"Jeff Lasseigne shows us how to approach God's book, the Bible, with reverence and walk away with a confident understanding. Every generation needs to know these truths and Jeff has done a great service to this one by helping us see the big picture of God's redemptive plan."--Skip Heitzig, pastor and author
