Joshua: An Expositional Commentary

Hardback. Zustand: Good. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.--Joshua 24:15 Perhaps best known for these familiar words, the book of Joshua is the story of one man's lifetime of service to the Lord not just through obedience but through love, because one without the other, says Boice, is hypocrisy. If you love God, you will keep his commands. And it goes with that principle that if you attempt to obey these commands and sincerely walk in God's ways, you will find yourself coming to love God more and more.James Montgomery Boice (1938-2000) was senior pastor of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was also president and cofounder of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, the parent organization of The Bible Study Hour, on which Boice was a speaker for more than thirty years. His many commentaries include The Minor Prophets, Psalms, The Gospel of Matthew, The Gospel of John, Acts, Romans, Ephesians, Daniel, and The Sermon on the Mount. Artikel-Nr. 00110116967
