About the Author:

As a mother of three children the author, Nicolette McFadyen, wrote her books "I'm going to be a Big Sister!" and "I'm going to be a Big Brother!" when she appreciated the importance of emotionally equipping her little ones for the arrival of a new sibling. Her follow on book "First Day of School" is the next step on the childhood journey. Nicolette realised that often we ourselves don't know how best to explain or identify with what our children may be feeling. She set about creating engaging books that offer parents a way to open the conversation and allow their children to identify and express these emotions.
