Inhaltsangabe

The thesis of this book is that despite Freud's low opinion of philosophy and despite his claim that psychoanalysis avoids value judgements, psychoanalytic theory does contain a moral philosophy. Abel (philosophy, St. Norbert College) argues that Freud's moral philosophy is best characterized as individualistic hedonism. Paper edition ($10.95) not seen. Annotation copyright Book News, Inc.
