This 30-minute 1989 workout targets the hips, thighs (inner, outer, front, back), and buttocks. The look is outdated: a very young Austin surrounded by a bevy of silent, young ladies, all wearing pastel leotards and tights, and one token man. The production looks lower budget than later videos--the leotard colors occasionally blur and look "fuzzy." Most of the exercises are traditional floor work, which is OK but not as effective as exercises in Austin's later videos, such as Denise Austin: Xtralite: Beginner's Tone Up and Denise Austin: Hit the Spot: Buns. Austin explains correct form carefully. A couple of the exercises, though, are downright silly, such as standing with legs wide, knees bent, and hands on the floor in a strange, frog-like position and bobbing the buttocks up and down. Get one of the later videos instead. --Joan Price
