Themomentous decision I made to study engineering was life-changing. It made menot only a woman in a non-traditional field, but something of a pioneer at atime when the profession was very much a man’s world. It shaped every aspect, not only of my professional life, but also of my private life, both of whichwere studded with happy times as well as tragic events.
