Faithful Citizenship explores questions of citizenshipfrom an Islamic perspective, taking into account Islamicformative principles – the Qur’an and Sunnah(the Prophetic tradition) as they pertain tothe globalized world of today, includes historicalperspectives from early Muslim history as wellas from contemporary times. 

This book is intended to offer a constructive addition tothe current discourse on the place of Canadian Muslimsand Islam in Canada in the hopes of facilitating greaterunderstanding, respect, and acceptance.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Imam Zijad Delic is Resident Scholar and Imam in Ottawa as well as a doctoral student at the University of Ottawa. He was twice selected as one of the 500 most influential Muslims in the world. He was recognized by the Province of Ontario for a decade of volunteer work, and received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
