Miu Chung Yan is professor of social work at the University of British Columbia and coeditor of Working with Immigrants and Refugees: Issues, Theories, and Approaches for Social Work and Human Service Practice. Sean Lauer is associate professor at the University of British Columbia and coauthor of Getting Married: The Public Nature of Our Private Relationships.
