2016 Carl Larsson Wall Calendar

With the influence of his wife, Karin Bergöö, Carl Larsson produced the light, bright paintings, modest in scale and subject, that set him apart as one of Swedens most beloved artists. Larsson (18531919) delighted in documenting his familys idyllic country life in loving, lighthearted images. Through the paintings in this calendar we can watch Esbjörn, their youngest son of eight children, grow up; witness comfortable moments in and around their riverside cottage, Lilla Hyttnäs; and, in one, glimpse the artist himself as he paints his charming scenes of domestic bliss.
