Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Jean Jenkins worked for two Institutes at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. She is currently Senior Clinical Advisor, Office of the Director, National Human Genome Research Institute, where her primary focus is education about the implications of genomics for health care. Jean was previously involved with the application of genetic testing research studies for high risk cancer families as Clinical Nurse Specialist Consultant, National Cancer Institute. As part of the NCHPEG coalition, Jean assisted in the development of the core competencies in genetics essential for all healthcare professionals.

Dale Lea is a board certified genetic counselor and nurse administrator working at the Foundation for Blood Research, Maine. Twenty years of experience of integrating genetic discoveries into practice for prenatal and early childhood, and adult-onset diseases has provided Dale with a rich understanding of the clinical implications for both consumers and professionals as a result of genomics.
