Alan Axelrod, who holds a PhD from the University of Iowa, is the best-selling author or coauthor of more than sixty books, including Patton’s Drive, a Military Book Club® Main Selection and History Book Club® Featured Alternate; and Miracle at Belleau Wood, a Military Book Club® Main Selection and History Book Club® Alternate (both Lyons Press). He is also the author of Patton: A Biography, a Military Book Club® Editor’s Choice. He has appeared on the Discovery Channel and has been a guest on NPR.
