The essays included in this volume have been selected from papers and lectures presented at the eleventh Triennial Conference of the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction. These essays cover a range of topics, such as Asian and Pacific indigenous education, peace education, and the use of technology to train teachers in Nigeria. The authors share a commitment to a grassroots model of global education that challenges the traditional 'colonial' model.
