Sixteen months of the hottest fire truck and rescue vehicle photography available depicts firefighters across the nation battling blazes and performing death-defying rescues. Every month includes a main photograph of a modern emergency response vehicle on scene complemented by a sidebar image. Each exemplary on-scene photo is accompanied by an informative caption and utilizes the dramatic lighting and action of the moment to capture the tension of the situation. Includes shots of fire-fighting action both in the U.S. and abroad.

LARRY SHAPIRO is a photographer whose experience spans more than 37 years. His portfolio includes work for private, commercial, and corporate clients, but his passion lies in his all-consuming love of the fire service and all things motorized. During his career, he has provided photographic services for multiple fire truck manufacturers, including American LaFrance, Emergency One, HME, KME, LTI, Pierce, Rosenbauer, Saulsbury, Seagrave, and Sutphen, plus truck builders Freightliner, Sterling, and Western Star in the form of advertisements, calendars, and sales literature. Larry has provided photography for several books and calendars in addition to authoring and illustrating nine books to date. He lives with his wife and three sons in suburban Chicago, where he was born.
