Sorcha Cusack was born into the theatrical Cusack family in Co Dublin. Theatre appearances include Dancing at Lughnasa, a memorable Three Sisters (with sisters Niamh and Sinead and father Cyril) and The Duchess of Malfi. She has worked extensively with the RSC, the Gat and the Abbey Theatre (from which the production of Freedom of the City travelled to New York, where she was nominated for a Best Actress award). On television, she has appeared in Poirot, Maigret, Morse and Jane Eyre, as well as four years in Casualty. She has appeared in several films and regularly on BBC Radio.
