Geoffrey Howse, actor, author, and historian, was born in Sheffield. He is an avid writer of local history books and has become well-known for his books and writing about Yorkshire subjects, including A Century of Sheffield, Images of Sheffield, and The Little Book of Yorkshire (all The History Press).
