Without an appreciation of stereochemical principles the student will find it difficult to understand modern organic synthesis or mechanistic organic chemistry. This book is written at a level suitable for 2nd/3rd year undergraduates, and attempts to bridge the gap between the elementary stereochemistry found in standard organic chemistry textbooks and the specialist advanced stereochemistry texts.
