Inhaltsangabe

This interactive multimedia encyclopaedia incorporates 150,000 words, 700 colour photographs and illustrations, 25 video sequences and 100 animations. From the first modern humans - 100,000 years ago - to the events of the 1980s and 1990s, this CD-ROM brings the story of humanity to life on the screen. Watch the dismantling of the Berlin Wall, hear the actual words of Martin Luther King, study an animation of how Stonehenge was built and sail with Columbus, Magellan and Da Gama through uncharted waters. The Key Articles - the core of the CD-ROM - are organized into ten chronological time zones, each containing artifacts to examine. "Who's Who" is about famous women and men whose lives shaped the way we live today. "Innovations", "Everyday Life" and "Culture" give a social and cultural context for people and events. The "Quiz Master" tests knowledge.
