This is followed by separate chapters on security devices such as sensors for external and internal use; closed circuit television (CCTV) systems; locks for doors and windows; access control systems; and security lighting systems. For each device, the principles of operation; equipment types and selection; primary uses to which the device is put; application of the device; and limitations, advantages, and disadvantages are discussed.
