Inhaltsangabe

This collection aims to make the best of Shakespearean theatre accessible to a younger audience. King Lear has set his daughters a test to prove how much they love him. Goneril and Regan flatter the old king, but his youngest daughter, Cordelia, loves him too much to play the game. In a moment of anger, Lear banishes Cordelia. Can any good come out of this rash decision? This book is beautifully illustrated in colour and black and white by Stephen Player. Consultants include: Kathy Elgin from the Royal Shakespeare Company and Peter Reynolds from Roehampton Institute of Children's Literature, University of Surrey.
