PAT ALEXANDER is former editorial director of Lion Publishing. She is also the compiler and author of many books ranging from the best-selling Lion Handbook to the Bible to The Lion First Bible. She lives in Oxford. LEON BAXTER was a life-long illustrator. He said he enjoyed working on children's titles because: 'there's a part of me that's never grown up'. Leon died in 2001
