About the Editor
Dr. Audrey Friedman is a Lynch School of Education Associate Professor and Department Chair at Boston College. She received the Distinguished Faculty Award from Boston College in 2000-2001 and the Boston Higher Education Partnership Award in 2005.
In 2009, Dr. Friedman was named Massachusetts Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in recognition of her commitment to preparing the next generation of teachers. Dr. Friedman says that her ?. . . most coveted award (2003) is the Mary Kaye Waldron Award, an honor awarded by undergraduates to faculty or an administrator ?who has worked to enhance student life at Boston College.’ An elegant, crystal eagle, this symbol reminds me of just how fortunate I am that teaching is indeed an option.”
