Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Local historian and writer Frances H. Casstevens has collected more than two hundred photographs from the archives of the Yadkin County Historical & Genealogical Society and from local family albums, and combined them with concise, compelling captions to tell the story of Yadkin County from 1850 to 1950. From old photographs of log cabins to portraits of wealthy families in front of white-columned mansions, from snapshots of farming families to group shots of 1930s and 1940s sports teams, the images presented here bring Yadkin County's first one hundred years to life.
