On April 19, 1775, the brave soldiers of Lexington, Massachusetts, armed themselves and courageously fought the British, losing seven American lives. News of their courage reached North Carolina, and it was decided to name the town in honor of the place where
one of the first known British resistances occurred.

In Images of America: Lexington, Bo Bennett has compiled an entertaining and educational journey into the past from the collections of local residents and the Davidson County Historical Museum. Bo is a paralegal, author, and researcher. She was the coauthor of Images of America: Rehoboth Beach, Chincoteague and Assateague, and Wallops Island with Dr. Nan DeVincent Hayes and researcher for Images of America: Ocean City Volume I and Volume II. In her spare time, Bo enjoys riding horses on her farm with her son, Stephen, and her husband, Tim.
