Members of a Transport Association of Canada project committee consider basic hydraulic considerations; hydrological estimates; waterway design and analysis; scour protection and channel control; and hydraulic aspects of construction, inspection, and maintenance. The first edition was published in 1973, and was out of print by the middle 1980s. In 1994 the committee formed to develop this second edition. It includes new sections on river flow hydraulics, fish passage, floating ice and debris, and other topics. There is no index. Distributed in the US by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
