This book provides illustrated and comprehensive coverage of emergency medicine, with an emphasis on management. This new edition covers all emergencies, not just those that are surgically related as in the first edition, and this wider scope is reflected in the title change. Other key differences are: 40% more illustrations and an expanded text; different organization, following that of the major text references; the first section on resuscitation follows exactly the recently published guidelines from the Advanced Trauma Life Support Course of the American College of Surgeons.
