Organized by body systems, the chapters in this text can be studied in any sequence after orientation chapters one through three are completed. The author begins with terms the reader may already be familiar with and builds medical terminology knowledge by progressively introducing new root words, prefixes and suffixes. Each chapter presents concepts and illustrations reinforced by matching/fill-in exercises, with answers in the back of the book. Each chapter has one or more programmed learning sections and concludes with comprehensive review exercises.
