The book is particularly effective in the way it conveys methodology using diagrams...and in the use of colour in photographs, diagrams and graphs. I was impressed by the cross-referencing directing the reader to Internet locations for further information, together with brief historical summaries on important people or advances. Careful thought has gone into the many questions, for which answers are provided at the end, followed by a glossary. (School Science Review)
