This is a study of the economic, political, and above all military relations between the Electorate of Hanover and Great Britain during the years between the outbreak of the War of the Austrian Succession and the death of Gerorge II in the middle of the Seven Years War. It is a period of great significance in the history of both nations - the ascending Great Power and the stagnating continental principality, with little in common except the fact that both were ruled by the same man.
