Dr Stanislav Grof is a psychiatrist with over forty years' experience of research into non-ordinary states of consciousness. His books include 'The Holotropic Mind', 'Beyond the Brain', 'Beyond Death' and 'The Stormy Search for Self'. He lives in California and travels widely, lecturing and teaching.
