From the introduction: "This book is a sort of 'do-it-yourself' guide to overcoming handicap and improving the quality of life and the independence of a disabled person. It aims to present basic information in simple words with explanatory diagrams and is written for people with a disability, for their families and friends, and for those who are interested in trying to help. The idea is to help you work out your own attitudes towards your disability, or the disability of your relative or friend." || The book is on the shelf, ready to be appropriately packed, and posted from the pastoral paradise of Peasedown St. John, Bath, by a real bookseller in a real book shop - with my personal guarantee and beady eye on the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
